Information Collection and Use
For registration we will require certain personally identifiable information, including email, name, gender, country, birth date. The information will be stored on server and will not be provided to any third party. Your name and country is visible to other users according to your account privacy settings. Your profile has three privacy levels: public, local and private. By default your profile is created with a public privacy. With public profile/account privacy every user is able to see your name and country. In case of local account privacy only registered users can see your profile and in case of private account privacy no one is able to see your profile except for you.
Peak Finder application collects users location data(unless the user turns this feature off in settings or the location does not lie within defined zones). These location updates are stored on our server and serve only to display users location for other users according to the Eagle Eye feature privacy. This feature does not send any location updates unless include/exclude zones are defined. These zones serve as privacy protection and are meant to specify regions where the user wishes to share his location with friends(when hiking). Zones definitions are stored within app to protect users privacy in case he defines exclude zone around one of his properties or a city where he lives. Users location is not shared with any third party or any other registered or not registered user of Peak Finder. Users location can only be seen by using the Eagle Eye feature and only in case this feature is turned on.
Log Files
Peak Finder follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
